Sharing Stories and Photos

Hello Fiddlers (and Fiddle Families).  I hope everyone has re-adjusted to being home, 100 degree temps, and the comforts and privacy of home. I've heard some interesting stories from Judy and Sara and have enjoyed their pictures. I'm sure you all have had the same thing at your house too.

I wanted to suggest a couple of things that might make sharing a little easier. The first is pictures.

Since there are hundreds of photos, with lots of replications, I think it would be good to have a webpage of galleries of the best shots that each family or photographer would submit to me on a cd (if you don't know how please email me). These would appear on a page with other photographer's submissions. Clicking on each folder or icon would open a page with that photographer's work. The viewer would be able to copy any photos from the webpage and make whatever prints she wanted at her favorite local photo service. It would be great if a caption or title is included with picture. Unless you request that I not, I will resize and adjust the pictures for best quality.

I will try to post an example of this by the weekend here on the blog.

The other idea is that we publish stories, from a few sentences to novels, here on the blog. At some point, I will make these into Word or PDF documents so they can be downloaded and printed. The stories can include pictures, too. I don't know if anyone took any video or audio from the events, but it would be great to include those as well, if available.

Please contact me if you have questions or concerns by email gt@triad.rr.com or let's start a discussion here on the blog in the comments section. If anyone is interested in being involved in the process, please let me know.

A final thought to our fiddlers. We are very proud of your travel and musical accomplishments. We would love to hear from you about your impressions of Ireland, musical experiences, and performance stories. Feel free to use the comment section to talk to each other or email me with other comments.

Regards,

Gary Todd

Picture Galleries

We are working on photo galleries from the Ireland trip. In the meantime, here are a few more.
